How to Save Storage Space on Your Apple Refurbished iPhone?

How to Save Storage Space on Your Apple Refurbished iPhone?

In our daily lives, it seems like there's never enough storage on our phones. This guide will help you quickly free up space on your iPhone. Follow these four steps to declutter your device:

Step 1: Clear Safari Cache

Start by clearing your browser cache. Please go to the Settings menu, scroll down, and find the App section. On this screen, you will see all the apps on your phone listed in alphabetical order. Locate the Safari app. Open it and scroll almost to the bottom, where you’ll find the Clear History and Website Data option. Tap on this menu, select All History, and then confirm by choosing Clear History.

Go to Settings → Apps → Safari → Clear History and Website Data.

This simple action frees up some space, and now we’re ready for the next step.

Step 2: Remove Unused Apps or App Caches

We go to Settings, navigate to General, and find the iPhone Storage option. This section provides an overview of your phone’s storage, showing how much space is used and what’s taking it up.

In iOS 18, you’ll also see recommendations on how to free up space—some of these might work for you. Select Show All to view the full list of suggestions. For example, I chose the option to delete Recently Deleted files.

Below this, you’ll find a list of apps ranked from the largest to the smallest in terms of storage usage. Browse through this list—you might find an app you no longer need and can delete from your phone. Review the apps on your phone to see how much space they take up. Delete unused apps or clear their caches. To do this:

Settings → General → iPhone Storage.

Additionally, in apps like Instagram or Telegram, you can clear their caches. Go through your messages and delete anything you don’t need.

Step 3: Save Large Files to Your Computer

To free up space, transfer large files to your computer.
Connect your iPhone to your computer using iTunes or Finder (on macOS) and move videos, photos, or other files.

Step 4: Delete Old Backup Files

Outdated backup files can take up unnecessary space. Keep your current phone backed up while removing backups for devices you no longer use.
Go to:
Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → Backups.

At the bottom, you'll see a list of devices and the storage they occupy. If you see an old device you no longer use, delete its backup. Be cautious and delete only files you don’t need.

General Tip:

Make it a habit to save important documents and promptly delete unnecessary files from messaging apps to prevent them from taking up too much space.

By following these steps, your Refurbished iPhone will have more room for the things that matter most!
